First Generation Celebration

VWU will host several events that support first-generation students. On November 6 at 11 a.m. there will be a "gratitude wall" in the Harbor Grill of the Jane P. Batten Student Center and a workshop hosted by VCIC, "Belonging for First Generation Students," in The Athenaeum in Hofheimer Library. On November 10 at 11 a.m., there will be a "sidewalk chalk and pins" event in the Harbor Grill and a networking event beginning at 3:30, followed by First Generation Speaker: Alumnus Hon. Chris Taylor '06, former Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Beach City Council member, in the Pearce Suite of the Jane P. Batten Student Center.
